Photography Technology II
Digital Still Photography is a course designed to help students explore digital imaging, improve photographic concepts, develop acquired skills and improve their technological literacy. Students will study the basic Image workflow of capturing, storing/organizing, editing and sharing digital photographs. Digital photographic history and its impact on society will also be examined. Moral, ethical, and responsibility issues surrounding still digital imaging will be studied. Students will have the opportunity to apply what they learn to solve technological problems.
Grading: Marking period grade is 80% of the overall grade. The marking period is graded using a point system.
Total points will roughly breakdown into the following percentages:
Project work (design briefs): 30%
Classroom assignments: 20%
Quizzes: 15%
Journal: 25%
Behavior/effort/attitude: 10%
Total: 100%
The “Final Exam” is 20% of the overall grade.
The final exam is broken into two equal components- a written exam and a portfolio.
